What is it really like, living with a cat?
Shrines, Shintō and stray cats: The documentary “Gokogu no Neko: The Cats of Gokogu Shrineˮ demonstrates the clash of the townspeople and the stray cats, that made their home in the Gokogu Shinto shrine. Under our seminar “Animation for Illustra­tionˮ we created our very own short movie to accompany the documentary, thus demonstrating the topics of the movie just like an illustration would for a book. With a wide array of animation techniques I tried to paint a highly diverse depiction of cats being the enrichments in our lives that they are.
